My impressions after trying them on: The biggest feature of this type is that it doesn't have any elastic, so it stretches really well and doesn't feel too tight.
The waist and groin area feel free, and it almost feels like you're not even wearing anything. I usually wear a medium size, and this one fits perfectly.
If you find size L too small, you can easily wear size M. The length is shallow.
