Vol.2 Passion Edition〈NAO LINGERIE - Behind the Scenes of Joy and Pain〉
Designer NAO has loved imported lingerie that looks like art since she was a teenager .
However, imported lingerie often did not fit NAO 's slender figure, and even if the design was stunningly beautiful, it often did not fit her body well and she was unable to wear it.
On the other hand, although Japanese brands fit my body well, I didn't find many designs that really appealed to me.
"I want to create something that fits Japanese women with beautiful and elegant designs like imported lingerie, like art," was the thought that led me to create my own original lingerie.
Even if you say you want to make original lingerie, there are no know-how books in the underwear industry. For manufacturers, it would mean revealing their hand, so there was nothing to study. In Japan, there were no schools where you could learn lingerie design. So NAO flew to Italy to study lingerie design.

So, we thought thoroughly about what kind of lingerie we wanted to create, and were able to create the Nao Lingerie we have today.
There are four main things that NAO LINGERIE values when creating lingerie.
1. Beautiful , elegant design like art . 2. Comfortable fit for both the body and the appearance. 3. Practicality for everyday use by women in Japan. 4. High quality, made in Japan.
Owner and designer NAO , who is also an underwear enthusiast and collector, was a firm believer in not compromising when creating his own original products.
However, when we actually tried to make it, we were faced with many obstacles that far exceeded our imagination.
It is extremely difficult to achieve all four of these goals perfectly, rather than just clearing one of them, and everyone involved must work professionally and with passion.

[1] Beautiful and elegant design like art
When considering designs, the thing we pay the most attention to is "lace." We believe that the beauty of lace is the very essence of lingerie.
We want you to wear something so beautiful that it makes you feel enchanted and enriches your soul just by looking at it. Na Orangery believes that when you stand in front of the mirror wearing something beautiful, you will feel that you are a wonderful person, that you are worthy of wearing that beautiful thing.
After looking at hundreds, even thousands, of different types of lace, we carefully select only those that we are truly satisfied with, and use Japan's highest quality "river lace" and "embroidery lace" depending on the concept. Although there are more delicate laces around the world, we do not use them due to practical considerations such as their low durability.

Although I sometimes use pre-designed lace, I also create and use lace with my own original designs. It is extremely rare for a personal brand to produce original lace from scratch, and I have such a deep passion for lace that I consider it very important.
We also have a strong commitment to the colors that make the beautiful lace stand out even more. One of the attractions of Nao Lingerie is that we offer unique colors that are not available from other companies, but this is possible because we dye our lace from scratch using our own original methods.
Depending on the characteristics of the fabric and the environment of the day, it may not be possible to dye it the desired color in one go, but we will try again and again until we find a color that we can be confident in and commercialize.
There are many brands that choose from pre-dyed lace available at lace shops, so there is no need to go to the trouble of dyeing original lace, but at Na Orangery, we treat each product as a work of art and pursue it until it is completed with complete satisfaction.
Sometimes two colors are used for one product, which doubles the cost and effort, but dyeing the fabric in original colors is one of Na Orangery's strong priorities.

This is one answer from designer NAO , who has been a fan of various lingerie both domestically and internationally for many years and has experience working for a shapewear manufacturer .
A bra that doesn't fit comfortably can hurt your body.
Many people probably think that wires hurt and underwear is tight and uncomfortable. There are also probably some people who think that their body cannot be beautiful without shapewear.
Underwear that fits your body well is light and comfortable to wear. It fits snugly against your skin without restricting your bust or making the cups float too much. 
Aiming to achieve natural beauty for both the body and the appearance, Nao Lingerie has developed its own unique pattern and original wire through repeated trial and error in increments of 0.03mm . 
A unique cup structure that provides just the right amount of support for the bust, carefully selected lightweight materials that fit comfortably against the bust, high-quality undyed organic cotton used for the inside of the cup and in the delicate zone, the development of a wide wire that suits the Japanese skeleton, pattern lines that give a delicate appearance while raising the armpits and providing stability that won't slip down , etc. Our goal was to create a comfortable place for the bust and the female body, and a design that allows you to be beautiful.
It is extremely rare for a private brand to develop its own wire, and we have achieved two contradictory values: a comfortable fit that clings to the skin while still providing adequate support for the bust. This is an aspect that Naorangery has been passionate about in order to achieve a beautiful bust while also being comfortable and functional.
Many people are surprised when they try it on. From the moment they pick it up, they realize how light and comfortable it is. And by simply adjusting the straps, you can create a beautiful bust line without having to push it up. And because it's comfortable and doesn't tire you out even when worn for long periods of time, we've had so many customers buy it again and again.

[3] Practicality designed for everyday use by women in Japan
NAO was influenced by the folk art movement centered around Yanagi Soetsu, and values the concept of "beauty of utility," which means that beauty resides in the form of things that are practical and easy to use.
We create our products not as works of art, but as practical everyday items, so we are very happy when people use Naorangire on special occasions, but we also want our brand to be a companion for any occasion, such as daily work or meetings, relaxing time alone, or when you want to lift your spirits at a girls' night or date.
For example, sheer lingerie such as non-padded bras and bralettes are designed to prevent the bust from showing through clothing, making them easy to wear in any situation while living in Japan.
In addition, the elegant and glamorous design makes it comfortable to wear all day, making it a piece of lingerie that you'll want to wear all day, from work to dates and outings afterwards.

Since the brand's inception, Na Orangery has been committed to producing products made in Japan.
One reason is that NAO has seen lingerie from all over the world and has come to believe that Japanese manufacturing is of the highest quality in terms of functionality, durability, and other aspects.
When we wanted to deliver the highest quality lingerie to everyone, it was essential that we work with highly skilled craftsmen made in Japan.
Both of NAO 's parents ran small factories, and he spent his childhood helping the craftsmen there, which gave him a strong appreciation for the high level of skill and excellence of Japanese artisans.
One of the reasons we are committed to producing Made in Japan products is our desire to pass on the high skills of Japanese craftsmen to future generations and share them with the world.
